Hi, I'm Julia

I’m a clinical herbalist based in Waterloo, Ontario, offering plant-based care for people who are looking for something more considered — and more connected — than what conventional care often provides.

Herbal medicine is not a band-aid solution. It is a collaborative approach that respects your lived experience and works with the body — not against it — to support your natural healing process.

Why 'Les Trois Lys'?

The name of my practice — Les Trois Lys, or 'The Three Lilies' — is a tribute to my three children, who were born during the years I lived in Montréal.

In Québec, the fleur-de-lys is a symbol of place, identity, and cultural roots. For me, it also came to symbolize personal transformation, those years marked the beginning of both motherhood and my deeper path into herbalism.

Naming this practice Les Trois Lys is my way of honouring those formative years and the quiet strength I draw from the support of my family every day.

How I Got Here

I’ve been working with herbs in some form or another for over 20 years — as a home herbalist, an educator, and now as a Registered Herbalist with the Ontario Herbalists Association.

I trained with the Institute of Traditional Medicine and Wild Rose College and have completed clinical mentorships with herbalists across Canada and beyond.

From my earlier years, I also hold a Master of Urban Planning, which gives me a particular appreciation for land use planning and sustainability.

Supply teaching has been another important part of my career path, and remains an important part of my work, whether I’m leading a plant walk, teaching a workshop, or sitting one-on-one with a client.

I offer services in English, French, Spanish, and Russian.
